Newborn Counter Stool Selection – Part IV

15. Nimitz Aluminum Counter Chair
Okay Nimitz isn’t technically a counter stool, but he likes to be near them. He started out as one of Philippe Starck’s Emeco Navy chairs, but now has been reproduced. He’s a little conceited about his origins but doesn’t boast for nothing. Nimitz really is durable, comfortable and a head turner! Listen to how he’s made: an aluminum frame three times stronger than steel with a diamond hard anodized finish. His size: 20”w x 16”d x 37”h

16. Shen Leather Counter Stool

19. Anzio Aluminum Counter Chair
You guessed it! Anzio’s roots are from Philippe Starck. He’s got a hint of an industrial look but loves to sit at the kitchen counter or high table. He’s tough but gentle, made from aluminum, anodized for protection, has welded joints and is corrosion-resistant. He may look heavy but he’s not. And because his seat is curved he loves to be sat on and most sitters agree he’s comfy.
Size: 20″w x 16″d x 37″h

20. Eifel Chair and Eifel Stool
Yes, he’s related to the tower! But Eifel says his lines are more futuristic. His seat and body are sculpted from what looks like an egg shape. A slender steel wire support structure gives him his geometrical flare and he likes to boast about his ability to be a commercial stool, although he doesn’t get bored if he must stay at home. He has a long list of technical data: Internal Structure- Steel tubes and sections, Internal Upholstery- Injection-molded polyurethane foam, Support Structure- Chrome plated steel wires, Ferrules- Thermoplastic material, Cover- Slip cover with Velcro enclosures.
